Hairclips
Another thing I want to make! I have about 1000 clips sitting here waiting to be covered, I've only done a couple of trial ones. While browsing for clip ideas I stumbled on some really cute clip holders and decided I could design one for the Pink Princess. It's a little busy, next time I think I'll just stick to a plain background with pretty ribbons, or vice-versa, I'm also thinking of maybe putting some hooks on the side for bands etc.
Recent work
I'm madly making christmas presents and won't be putting them up here for a bit longer, so I thought I should put up the pics of the Library Bags I made for my 4yo and her friend who both start Kindy next year. Lots of fun sewing and appliqueing, then I went to the intro talk at Kindy where they said they'd prefer them not to have draw string bags - BAD LUCK, this is what she is going to bring!

And another one
This wonderful EB Mum has decided to give away the gorgeous little O & S suit that is too small for her little boy. It is so cute, ends this week.
Another wonderful Giveaway!
This one at Retromummy has beautiful fabric, I could have so much fun! Good Luck!

Now, I have lots of photos to put up of things I've made, but basically I've been too busy making, and reading and looking after kids to get around to even downloading photos from the camera!
More importantly though, I found out about this GREAT MEGA giveaway have a look, Miss 4 would LOVE me to win the girlie pack for her!

Party!
Another 2nd Birthday Present

Friends with little girls are probably finding my gift giving a little predictable at the moment! Miss C, the recipient of this skirt, my first attempt at gathered tiers, didn't seem to mind though and even modelled it for us. I also made outfits for both her older sisters using the twirly skirt pattern and applique onto bought T'shirts for their birthdays in July.

Miss G's Skirt and Hair Thingamies
Our little friend Miss G recently turned 2, she is a pretty little thing who loves her headbands and to dress up so I made her this cute little floral skirt from the Oliver + S Lazy Days pattern and made a matching headband and some covered clips. The clips are a little dodgy - but I'll work on that!
I loved the way this skirt is hemmed so much I used it again when I sewed myself a satin giraffe print skirt to wear at the jungle themed first birthday party.
I may not have been posting much, but that doesn't mean I haven't been busy! I've made birthday presents for little girls, a giraffe coloured skirt for myself and have several other projects planned. The machine had to be put away for our jungle themed first birthday party (the reason for the skirt) but I promised Miss nearly 4 I'd make little bags for her guests at her party in 2 weeks time, so I'd better get it back out.

Finding Time and Motivation
Well, the sewing machine is on the table and I've been looking through blogs and patterns and I'm stuck for what to do next!I do have some mending to do, but that isn't very exciting. I do need to get started on some christmas presents, and also want to try some basic tiered skirts and simple boys shorts. It doesn't help that it has been raining for weeks and there is washing strewn from one end of the house to the other!

Let's start at the very beginning....
I've been inspired! Having seen so many great blogs documenting some beautiful work I've decided to try it myself. I'm hoping to share pictures of my work, links to some of the great ideas and patterns on the internet, and keep track of what I've done, works in progress, and the things I'd like to do.
